The Calvin College Knights are proud to officially announce the commitment of Josh Polanski.

Josh’s senior season at Cuyahoga Valley Christian was one for the record books.  He posted the 5th highest scoring season in the history of Ohio High School Hockey.  Leading the state in goals (72) and points (101) in only 29 games, Josh was named to the All-State team.  In addition, he is a 3-time All-Division and a 2-time All-League selection.  Josh also served as the Royals team Captain last season.

Head Coach Mike Petrusma had this to say about Josh and his commitment to the Knights:

“Obviously Josh comes to us having experienced a lot of individual success. 101 points in 29 games is an incredible achievement.  I know that Josh will come in ready to work and will be a player that will likely grow a lot in his first season against a higher level of opponent.  I’m very excited to have him in the program and I’m looking forward to seeing how he attacks the challenges ahead of him.”

Why did Josh choose Calvin?

“I came from a small, private Christian school and I wanted to continue a Christian education and play a competitive level of hockey at the same time.”
